SSH is a flagship program of the Central Papua Provincial Government under the leadership of Governor Meki Fritz Nawipa, S.H. and the Department of Education and Culture. This program is designed to ensure that children in the village receive a decent education that is quality, safe and enjoyable with a longer learning duration.

Not at all. This SSH program is 100% free (free education) and is fully funded by the Central Papua Provincial Government to improve the quality of human resources and reduce the number of children out of school.

The initial implementation area covers 8 districts throughout Central Papua, namely: Mimika, Nabire, Paniai, Puncak, Intan Jaya, Deiyai, Dogiyai, and Puncak Jaya. The government targets full implementation in 100 elementary schools (SD) by 2026.

Learning focuses on 6 Main Literacies, namely: Reading-Writing, Mathematics, Science, Digital, Financial, and Citizenship & Culture. Apart from that, children are given character education, spirituality and skills training.

Schools are gradually being facilitated by providing basic infrastructure such as clean water purification, electricity, internet connections, and safe and collaborative learning spaces.

The teaching and learning process is carried out by collaboration between regular local school teachers with the support of 6 additional special accompanying teachers deployed by the government.
