Message from the Head of Department

Greetings from the Head of the Education and Culture Service of Central Papua Province

Amolongo, Nao, Nimedao, Salve, Assalamu'alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh, Prosperous Greetings, Greetings of Kindness to Us All.

Central Papua Province is blessed with extraordinary natural wealth. However, the true greatest wealth lies in our young shoots—Papuan children who will one day lead and develop this land. Geographical challenges with thousands of villages and hundreds of schools in remote areas must no longer be an excuse for our children to fall behind in getting a decent education.

Based on data from our regional Pure Participation Rate (APM) which still needs strong encouragement, the Central Papua Provincial Government through the direction of Governor Meki Fritz Nawipa, S.H., launched concrete steps:All Day School Program (SSH). This is not just a program to increase learning hours, but rather a structural transformation to bring quality basic education to remote villages.

The Department of Education and Culture is fully committed to overseeing the big target of implementing SSH in100 Elementary Schools (SD)in all districts throughout Central Papua. We are moving to ensure the availability of supporting infrastructure, starting from clean water, electricity, internet access, to providing additional competent teacher assistants to accompany regular teachers in the field.

Through this web portal, we open the door to public transparency while openly inviting all development partners, the business world, religious institutions and community communities to collaborate with us. The task of making the nation's life smarter is our collective calling. Let's join hands, unite our determination, in order to produce quality human resources in Central Papua that are healthy, intelligent, productive and independent.
